A few words about open source:
Original open source software (OSS) was the source of the term open source. It is code that is open to the public, meaning that anyone can view it and modify and distribute it as they wish.
As an open source project, software is developed in a decentralized and collaborative manner, relying on peer review and community collaboration. It is often cheaper, more flexible, and more durable than proprietary products because it is developed in communities rather than by one individual or company.
Open source has now developed into a movement, a way of working that goes far beyond pure software production. By using the values and decentralized production model of open source software, new ways are found to solve problems in communities and industries.
